Sexist to charge a man more for manicure than a woman?

My boyfriend and I just went to get manicures, and they charged him $3 more because he is a male. At first I didn't believe him so I looked at the price sheet and it said ';Manicure for Men: $15';. So isn't that sexist? Why should a man have to pay $3 more when he just got a clear coat of polish anyway?Sexist to charge a man more for manicure than a woman?
I don't think it's sexist at all. Its about the way men's hands are. They are usually rougher than females and require more work so it's more expensive. It's like hair cuts the longer the hair the more expensive it is. Men's hands are typically rougher and the nails are harder to cut, etc. Something that you can do to see the difference is put your hand next to your bf's and see how different they are not only in size but in texture. Hope this helps :D

His might not be big or rough but in general men's hands are bigger and rougher than women. So they have a general price for men.Sexist to charge a man more for manicure than a woman?
Maybe it's because his skin is tougher so it means more work for them.

I wouldn't think it's because the size of the hand/nails though.
agree
men are tougher to strap down and manicure - god, it's hard enough giving them a bath...
