Is there such a thing as a french manicure for men?

i went with my mom to this nail salon in LA she got her nails done and now they are offering french manicures for men is there such a thing???Is there such a thing as a french manicure for men?
I have not heard of a mens french manicure but men do get french manicures. My boyfriend gets american manicures which is similar to a french manicure except that the tip is not as white. He also gets french pedicures. Through the gay word out there if you like but it really makes his nails look great and if you saw it you'd realize that it doesn't look gay at all...Is there such a thing as a french manicure for men?
