Men and Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?

So, on a whim the other day, I went and got a manicure and pedicure. Without much thought they put shiny clear polish on my toenails and clear matte polish on my fingernails. So it made me think, what do others think of this?

What do you think of Men getting manicures?

What about pedicures?

What about polish?

If yes, polish on the hands, feet, or both?

What kind of polish?

the clear matte, the clear shiny, or colored?

please answer all these question!

.a nice manicure on a man looks good... at least he is showing he cares about his appearances.

As for the polish.. ummmm no way.

I don't care what color clear or matte...just no way.

Polish to me on a man looks gay. That is MY personal opinionMen and Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?
listen to the song '; i'm still a guy'; by brad paisley and ull see how i feel about that. thats just cause i'm a country redneck though. actually i am a girl and i really think it would be weird to see a guy w/ polish on but a manicure and a pedicure aint bad i guess. just my personal opinion.
its gay thing

I like it shaved. There is no doubt about that. She only shaves once in a while. It bothers her. But she does keep it trimmed short. So thats nice too.

I just like them trimmed a little, not shaved, I don't want him to look like a prepubescent boy.
Yes the ol man does and I for one am thankful that he does....nasty hair in the teeth....yuk!
Yes I do keep it groomed and trimmed

I have actually ';carefullly'; shaved the twins and made sure the bush around the tree trunk is nice and trimmed and not growing wild

Have to keep things looking good cuz never know when visitors might come by
Yes, yes I do.
Yeah i think guys should get waxed, It's much better. Me, personally i like waxing, it's better, i hate hair that aint on my head!
I prefer the area to be shaved or trimmed. We don't like getting noodles stuck in our teeth any more than guys do.
leave it as normal
Yeah, I do. Do you want to see???
I get waxed
I keep it well manicured. Some areas clean, some with trimmed growth. It's how I prefure it and no one has complained.
I would hope that guys would keep their basements clean..........I won't go down if it's all messy. =)

LOL!
shaved to setting #3
Shaved or Trimmed
neat and trim is great, bald is BAD, super fuzzy is GROSS
Shave the goods, trim the nest. That's my motto.

  • Men: Do you think any less of a female who doesnt keep her hands and feet manicured?

if a woman likes to be all natural do you think that she is not well kept or not clean?Men: Do you think any less of a female who doesnt keep her hands and feet manicured?
I personally don't like phony fingernails on a woman. I don't like the claws, irregardless of how they're painted and decorated.

However, I do appreciate a woman who has neatly trimmed, clean fingernails. Clear polish or no polish work for me.

I like a woman who's feet are soft and who's toenails are trimmed. Whether her toenails are polished or not doesn't concern me.Men: Do you think any less of a female who doesnt keep her hands and feet manicured?
just focusing on manicures n peticures; i think guys can go f themselves if i girl doesnt do it... me i cant, i work on a farm they just break.. even if i didnt work hard i wouldnt cause its way too expensive... u dont see guys goin all the time to get their nails done. america is suppose to be equal among the sexes, if they dont; i wont... simple as that

Guys & Men do you get manicures and pedicures? If yes, why? If no why not? Would you condisder getting them?

Both my Husband and my Sons go with me. I had to force my Husband but once he started going he got hooked. My Husband is definitely straight, we've been married 20 years. My oldest son is 24 and he's straight, he loves it too. My youngest son is gay and he is 23 and he also loves it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a man taking care of his feet and hands. They look neat and clean...plus I pay for all of them!!! It's and extra incentive!!! It's something we do as a family!!!Guys %26amp; Men do you get manicures and pedicures? If yes, why? As a gift, I had a manicure done once. I don't like being so it wasn't something I enjoyed but she did do a good job. Being a mechanic at the time though, she had her work cut out for her and as nice as it did look, it didn't last very long.

I wouldn't do it again as I said, I do not like being touched and it was very uncomfortable for me.
    No, I don't.

Because my dad is against anything not ';masculine'; and would probably kill me if I did. But I wouldn't mind getting them.

It's no big deal to me lol, I'm secure in myself. I'm game for anything.
No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

Don't WANT my feet being ';pretty-fied,'; none.

    C
No. I don't want to feel emasculated.
No, I don't. I don't see the point. I can trim my own nails and it only takes a few seconds.
i WOULD get one, but i havent yet.
I've got a pedicure, my sister made me go with her. It was terrible.
I just don't feel the need, nor desire.

for me, men who do manicures and pedicures have a sense of physical hygiene, and i like that. i myself personally give my bf manicure and pedicure, i just use the clear and shiny polish. i also find it okay for men to wear black polish but if its another color...then its a different story for me...Men and Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?
I think its absoulutely fine actually, for manicures and pedicures. Polish is ok for both as long as its clear matte. I think its perfectly fine, and some men need them so its ok. As long is its not colored!!!
I'm all for pedicures, especially during the summer when guys wear flip-flops and sandles, no one wants to see jacked up feet, but apart from that, no polish
    gay ??

    yes.

    very gay.
it's kinda gay or at least too prissy for me but as long as u don't polish them it's okay...

I think it's great that guys get manicures and pedicures. Polish, however, for my man, is a no no :). I think that polish just might be taking it a bit too far. In our house, I'm the one that wears the polish, but nothing says he can't have great looking hands and feet...I think that's great!Men and Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?
I think men should. Alot of people dont know this but most lawyers get them. When i see men's nails that are discolored or with dirt underthem it makes me think they don't take care of themself and its very unattractive
its ok on everything but no nail polish whatsoever (not even the matte kind)
    its gay thing

Are men's manicured / kept eyebrows attractive to women. Do you assume a man is gay if kept ?

Not necessarily. I think if a man has a uni-brow or eyebrows like Einstein he should a least get them into some sort of order. Get rid of the uni and trim the others with small scissors. BUT....If a guy has a better arch then me and they are obvious waxed I'd probably assume he was gay.Are men's manicured / kept eyebrows attractive to women. Do you assume a man is gay if kept ?

  • I'm a man and I'm schedued to get a facial, manicure, and pedicure next week, should i be excited?

I'm a 22 yr old college student. I'm graduating next week. I figured, what the hell... so I scheduled a manicure, pedicure, and facial for myself 4 next week right after finals, a few days before the graduation ceremony. Should i be looking forward to this? or should i cancel? what do you think? If you think i should go ahead and do it, should i call to add a massage to my appointment too? The massages cost $45/75 for 30/60 minutes.

    thanks

-MikeI'm a man and I'm schedued to get a facial, manicure, and pedicure next week, should i be excited?
HELL NO! THATS GAY!!!!!I'm a man and I'm schedued to get a facial, manicure, and pedicure next week, should i be excited?
go for it add the massage you'll be sooo glad you did. there is absolutly nothing wrong with men going to the spa. why is it that so many people think that it is taboo for men to pamper themselves or to feel good about themselves. i am so glad that you are going for it. do not cancel. you will enjoy it! i have a lot of male clients and they love to come to the salon and be pampered....sometimes even more than female clients.
Definitely don't cancel! Pamper yourself - male or female, manis and pedis and facials and massages are great way to take care of yourself and to just generally destress and feel good. I would definitely call and throw the massage on there.

    Enjoy it!!
    Hahahah be excited!!

    Except why manicure and pedi?

Keep facial and massage, have fun!! And congrats on the whole graduating thing
Of course you should be excited! It is a good thing to splurge and treat yourself. Especially if you are graduating!
sure be excited, its pampering and refreshing...enjoy
hell ya be excited !its ur graduation treat
    keep it.

    to hell with the world

you will be so very relaxxxxxxxxeeeddddd/////

    :P
    HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!鈥? I would!!!
    yes
this is extremely weird..... r u gay?? this isnt somethin guys should do........ get a real life!!
of course, why would you cancel? as long as you got the money, definitely do the massage as well. they'll all make you feel great %26amp; relaxed. you deserve it anyways.. congrats on graduating =)

Im getting one on Friday!! Great minds think alike. Its nice to feel pampered every once and awhile....I work 40 hrs a week and when I have time--I wanna feel relaxed. Clear finish is what I'd recommend...I wouldnt do the colors...unless youre emo....Men and Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?
I think it is wonderful for a man to take care of his hands and feet. As to the polish, I really do not care if it is clear, colored polish on men is just not my thing. Instead of polish I think it would be better if you ask them to buff them to a high shine.
I don't honestly care either way. The man isn't hurting anyone by getting a manicure or pedicure, and men have just as much right to do something that makes them feel good about themselves as females do, so why should I be bothered by it?
it relly depends on the guy.. if they guy is preppy then its seems gey to get nething done.. if the guy is ghetto then getting a mani and a pedi is just them wanting to look nice and keep them sleves fresh.. although i dont think any male should get any type of polish..
i think it's good that men get manicures and pedicures, it shows that they take care of themselves and are clean.

but the polish- no. i don't think guys should be getting their nails painted.

hope it helps, not trying to be rude about the polish! :)
Men getting Manicures.. I think they should

    Pedicures ? Yes good Hygiene

Polish depends.. I know some rock stars do it.. And they look cool..
I know many guys who have pedicures and manicures. There is nothing wrong with that just use the transparent polish (clear shiny).
I think anyone who wants to keep up with their nails should get manicures or pedicures; male or female
    You asked this question already!!!
I am a girl and my boy cuz go with me all the time.
clear shiny. and there is nothing wrong with it. i prefer guys with good looking feet

Yes, some do. But I heard that most women don't like men who overly vain.

Some men who have Manicures, are those who have jobs that they need to touch others, like massaging and such.
Yeah, if they're queer maybe! Don't be fooled man, it's in a nail technician's interest to promote manicures. The truth is you don't need a manicure to keep your nails looking nice and clean. What you SHOULD do is keep your nails short, take care of your hands and eat a healthy diet rich in Calcium and Vitamin D.
yeah they do, and not just the pretty ones.. alot of them do.. i recommend it. . who want someone with dirty nails...ewwww
Sure, why wouldn't they? Plenty of people think it's not a ';manly'; thing to do, but why couldn't men enjoy some beauty pampering?
yep. they do special male manicures at most places.
Totally! My Grandfather did once a week in the 1930s!
yes my dad got a manicure with me once but he didnt actually get his nails painted he just got them polished. and, my oldest brother likes to paint his nails black so ya
    ye
    FER SURE LOL
yes we do and love it
sure they do , some even do it to stop from biting their nails

Are men's manicured / kept eyebrows attractive to women. Do you assume a man is gay if kept ?

Women like their men to be groomed, but not better groomed than themselves or *coquet* and care too much.

Personaly i like *a manly man* so men with manicured nails and waxed eyebrows turn me off, but a lot of women like dapper men, sometimes borderline gay (as you can notice with many celebs nowadays).

No i don't stereotype well kept men as gay though.

I guess it depends on your type. Are men's manicured / kept eyebrows attractive to women. Do you assume a man is gay if kept ?
A man with clean nails is very attractive to a woman. If the eyebrows are just plucked in the middle that is good, but do not shape them too much. A man should have nice thick eyebrows, not shaped too finely. And no, one would not assume a man is gay if he looks after himself. Are men's manicured / kept eyebrows attractive to women. Do you assume a man is gay if kept ?
I think so. I would definitely prefer a guy to do something with his eyebrows if they are really messy. I wouldn't think he was gay just by that one sign, either. lol, my teacher gets weekly manicures and we all KNOW that he isn't gay. :)

    thanks

-MikeI'm a man and I'm schedued to get a facial, manicure, and pedicure next week, should i be excited?
Your really in for it man. Facials are nice, but the manicure and pedicure can be brutal. However, given how us guys usually care for our feet... I have no doubt the ladies would appreciate the results. Get a face, head and neck massage along with it... now those are awesome. Go for 30. Part of it is if the person doing it is any good. You can always go back again if they did a good job. Usually though, you won't likely get a good massage at a nail place, you would have to go to a spa or legit massage place.I'm a man and I'm schedued to get a facial, manicure, and pedicure next week, should i be excited?
Good for you! I definitely think you should go through with it.. what the hell man college is hard work!! Just go for it.. and if you have the money then DEF. go for the 60 min massage... 30 minutes just isn't long enough.

PAMPER baby.. you will feel soooo good after:)

hey.. can I come:P just jokinnggg!

AND P.S... it is not ';gay'; you arrogant jerk... it's stupid people who classify these things as ';feminine'; when really.. men go all the time.. why not?? When people say it's ';gay'; they are really just not as secure as you are with your sexuality.. and if you are gay.. then I hope you didn't get offended by that guys rude comment:)
Dude. There is NOTHING gay about pampering yourself. You have worked hard to get to where you are at. TREAT YOURSELF. You will look and feel better. If you can afford it....to Hell with negative opinions. Go for the entire package.

Congrats on making it. KUDOS to you.
If you think it will be fun then be happy about it. You should no rely on others to tell you your thoughts atnd feelings.
I think if that sounds fun to you, then you should be excited. But don't tell your girlfriend
    lol

  • Sexist to charge a man more for manicure than a woman?

My boyfriend and I just went to get manicures, and they charged him $3 more because he is a male. At first I didn't believe him so I looked at the price sheet and it said ';Manicure for Men: $15';. So isn't that sexist? Why should a man have to pay $3 more when he just got a clear coat of polish anyway?Sexist to charge a man more for manicure than a woman?
I don't think it's sexist at all. Its about the way men's hands are. They are usually rougher than females and require more work so it's more expensive. It's like hair cuts the longer the hair the more expensive it is. Men's hands are typically rougher and the nails are harder to cut, etc. Something that you can do to see the difference is put your hand next to your bf's and see how different they are not only in size but in texture. Hope this helps :D

His might not be big or rough but in general men's hands are bigger and rougher than women. So they have a general price for men.Sexist to charge a man more for manicure than a woman?
Maybe it's because his skin is tougher so it means more work for them.

I wouldn't think it's because the size of the hand/nails though.
    agree
men are tougher to strap down and manicure - god, it's hard enough giving them a bath...

It's can be trimmed real close and by real good too.

Just trim it short and ask the guy you date....What he likes on a woman. All men like something different. It's better if you are dating someone, then ask him what makes him happy %26amp; do that, then to be just not caring.

I don't. I like men to be clean and neat, But doing all that is a little over board. I don't want my man to be prettier than me.
Sure why not. I'm sure it healthier. I think maybe an exception would be if I was dating the person and he was all prissy about it like(serious) '; Oh darn I broke a nail!'; or was fanatical about it .... the world was going to end if he didn't get one.. then I wouldn't like that.

Do men get pedicures or manicures?

Haha! In some cultures straight men don't bother much with personal grooming (or in some countries, personal hygiene) but in others, presentation and looks are considered important, and it may even be considered rude or disrespectful to shake hands with someone when you have dirty nails.
if it is black, he must be some Rakista
no but its not attractive to see men with manicured nails
    no,of curz not!

    it's called hygiene...

who likes men with dirty nails? yuck!
my uncle does have it... but it's not that really colorful... it's probably clear or the hard-to-see ones... it's not that his gay, it's just being neat and tidy...
Only if its like pastel colors and w/ glitters on it. So gay :)
    yes well in my opinion
No, if your living in Tondo Manila
No, I think the sexual preference make men gay
I don't think this is an indication of sexual preference. This is accusatory. Baka hampasin kita ng handbag ko! Hmmmp.
No. My friend gets his nails done and he's not gay but perhaps vain? I do like his nails and it's nice to see a man who knows how to take care of his body.
NO gay men make manicured nails though
I had a pedicure and it felt great and I'm not gay, they didn't pain my nails, though.
Not necessarily, i just consider them anal.
No.. not because of manicured nails.

Yes you can say it makes them gay because of the private parts disorder !!! men after men instead women.

  • Question for women, what do you think about men who get manicures?

i like it, i love a man who takes care of himself. i am a business woman, i love business men , polishedQuestion for women, what do you think about men who get manicures?
Painted nails on guy鈥檚 looks quite cool in a Robert Smith (The Cure) kind of way but I have seen men with French manicures filed to a point and that is just horrible.

I give my sons mini-manicures, just push back the cuticles and buff to avoid hang nails, and I paint their toenails when they ask.Question for women, what do you think about men who get manicures?
i think its a little girly

I do my own nails, and they look very nice so my guy doing it would be weird
i think they cares about themselves, nothing wrong with a man with clean hands ..would you want a women caressing you with nasty hands?
Depends. Are they doing it to look pretty or to look clean.?
    sick

What are your thoughts about men getting manicures and pedicures?

    I used to give my ex his and put clear nail polish on his nails, which he was fine with and didn't consider ';too pretty,'; but he thought it's too ';pretty'; to walk into a nail saloon to get them done (never understood the difference). When I see guys with nice hands and feet with clear nail polish, I always think they are well taken care of. However, I have heard guys saying manicures and pedicures for guys are totally ';gay.';

What are your thoughts? What are your thoughts about men getting manicures and pedicures?
At the barber shop my husband frequented there was a manicurist. He would get his nails done and cuticles removed every other week with his haircut. He kept himself groomed for his law practice. I used to complain his grooming cost less than mine for the same services. What are your thoughts about men getting manicures and pedicures?
I would totally do it. But I often feel like people would freak out if I did...
Waste of money to me. I'll wash my own hands and feet and trim my own nails, thank you. I can think of better ways to spend 40 bucks. A nice game of golf perhaps.

    j
i really don't have anything against it...

anyway, I know I won't have such things done!
I see nothing wrong with them. I think I should encourage my husband to at least learn how to do them for himself(especially manicure) because he is a mechanic in the Army, and his hands and nails can get pretty ugly.
I thought that I would really like that but I was dating a guy and he went to the nail salon with me - he asked to go, I didn't suggest it or anything. It was a serious turn off to look over and see him there and I was with three friends who also seemed really uncomfortable with the whole thing. I don't know why, it just was. I never felt quite the same way about him after that.

Great if you get your gf to do it for you but not so great if youre there at the same time getting the same thing.
a lovely idea. without going into too much detail, intimacy is much nicer when fingernails are not jagged. Also, pretty male feet will alleviate the chronic problem of socks and sandals worn together. However, i don't like clear nail polish on men. it'll just chip eventually, and i don't see the point. it's a bit much. clear nail polish is for french manicures, children, and base/top coats for other colors.
I think it is ok for guys to get manicures %26amp; pedicures minus the nail polish. I would think they would want to just get their nails buffed but not polished.
Totally gay. The reason it was okay for you to do it was probably bc it was something only you two shared, he probably only did that for you.....but totally gay if he goes to get them done, especially a pedicure. And just to clarify, its not gay to have your nails cut and neat, its the polish part. And as a man cutting your nails is like brushing your teeth, you dont have to go to the dentist when you need to brush your teeth, key word here is NEED.
I think it's fine. I know a lot of women who are tired of men with dirty, scraggly fingers and toes.
Nay not so! My Significant Other loves for me to ';baby'; Him and give Him manicures and pedicures. In fact, He's coming to my place tonight and I've already told Him that I'm going to give Him a pedicure--and He's looking forward to it as much as I am looking forward to giving it to Him. He's a wonderful man and I love spoiling Him and babying Him and just taking care of Him in general. He calls me His Personal Body Slave--I am and danged proud of it.
Men who do this... well, let's just say that it SHOULD tell you more about them, then the outward 1st response of cleanliness... because there's nothing more selfish than taking time/effort %26amp; pampering yourself, by having another person groom you (in this case, its a luxury).

A pedicure, for a MAN is simply absurd -- unless you were either Tarzan, just outta the jungle... or, was Outward Bound for months and your dogs are beaten-down badly, that it takes a team to get them back, clean. You can make the case for a manicure... because usually a man can't reach/handle a clipper equally, between 2 hands (I can, as I'm ambi-dextrous, but I'm not here to braa-aag).

Men don't mind getting a haircut - because it's a once in a while thing that has to be done... grooming, for men older that Gotti-Boys/TV age... is a personal matter, and done quickly before you do something else. It's a purposeful act -- not an end, like a manicure. (In fact, most men bite their nails... as to not waste time while on the phone... waiting for a train... etc. as disgusting as that can be -- especially indoors.)

It takes a man -- that either LIKEs to be pampered.. (probably indicates over-mothering, because men don't see pampering like women do... as a ';reward'; or self-gifting)... or, it takes a man that's so bad at self-grooming, he's led to get help.. or, for a special occasion (preparing for his Wedding Photos, for example).

For one.. we are also babies.. and squeamish about letting women stick emery boards across our nails (eeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!) -- even if they are cute asian girls, and will giggle at everything we say... (shhh).
It's fine. I like it when guys have neat finger nails. I don't know any men who wear nail polish though.
I had it done once by a friend who was going to college to do it properly. She did a great job. I'll probably sound a complete pervert - but it was kind of ... arousing having her oiling up my fingers and rubbing it all about.

    Man, I enjoyed that.

I don't do it myself, but I did take the free offer :o)
    no there poofs
    Men deserve to feel they have pretty hands and feet, too!! LOL So what. It's another way for a man to get attention. God bless them if that's what they want. And I know a LOT of straight men who get manicures %26amp; pedicures (and I know several who should, tee hee) so I don't think it's a gay thing. Some men just ';think pretty.';
If a man wants to get them, that's his prerogative. Do I find it attractive? No. Just keep 'em clipped is all I ask. They don't have to be shapely or shiny with no cuticles showing.
    GAY! TOTALLY GAY!
My personal preference in men is men with strong, not soft hands. This has been since I was a child. When I was little, I thought my friends' dads that had soft, smooth hands were down right creepy. My Dad was and is a hard working blue collar guy so that is what I thought all men should be. I have nothing against professional/soft handed men now that I am grown, but I just like a more rugged look. As far as manis/pedis on men, not my preference but to each his or her own.
I think it's a good idea and not gay at all. It's about personal hygene. God knows some guys do need them. I just don't think I would like my guy to join me while i'm getting mine. That's my time away from him.
Hey you know what,I don't discriminate. If that's what they like to do then that's fine by me.It wouldn't bother me one bit.
Men's manicures are required on the executive level. I like them but I don't know about polish. A buffed shine is good!
i think it's cute and funny. not in a bad way at all, just funny. i don't get manicures or pedicures, and the idea of my guy getting one is too precious! lol!
Sorry but I think it's totally gay.
I think they have very good grooming habits. I hear they tip pretty good too. :0)
Totally gay. Unless you're a man who identifies himself as a woman (i.e. female gender). Then it's totally straight.
I like men who take care of themselves. I hope that answers your question. I don't require them to do this, but I don't discriminate against them if they do.
a pedicure and a manicure are simply hygeinic and show a respect for one's appearance and health. It is NOT a 'gay' activity, that's just ridiculous.
I honestly don't understand why either sex gets manicures and pedicures. It seems like such an unnecessary expense to me. I used to go around and around with an old neighbor of ours on this topic. She and her husband were always complaining that they couldn't afford to pay their utility bills but she never, ever missed her appointments to get her nails done. Anyone can give themselves a professional manicure for nearly free. This is one of those new service industries like lawn care that were extremely rare not very long ago when measured in old people years.
Getting the manicure or pedicure I could easily consider good hygiene. The polish part is a bit over the top for me.

Than again, even *I* rarely wear nail polish...
My Dad gets very simple, no-frills manicures at a local nail salon. He's a real estate agent, and he has to look good! No polish or anything like that, he just gets his hands spiffed up a bit. I can assure you that my Dad is a very manly guy, but he recognizes that no one wants to buy a house from a guy whose hands make him look like he's a farmer in his spare time.

Ladies, how do u feel about men getting manicures?

I don't mind it, I'd rather see some clean, nicely trimmed nails than some jagged hangnails, and dirt under the nails anyday.Ladies, how do u feel about men getting manicures?
I wish my husband would.Ladies, how do u feel about men getting manicures?
I don't have a prob with it, just so we are not wearing the same nail color! lol
absolutely normal..as a matter of fact hygenic..way to go pal..total turn on.;)
    nothing
I think it's good.. There's nothing worse than a man with rough hands
i actually like it only on preppy guys or otherwise its kinda gay.
no problem. so long as you don't wear any colors it is very manly and has been going on for a very long time. most executives have them. besides a man is sexy with neat pretty hands.
    To each his own
i think it's hot...i dont like a guy with dirt in his nails...since im in business...i like a man in a suit...with nice clean hands and nails.
I think its cool..for a man to care about his hands is excellent hygiene and I wish more men would do it!Its not a gay thing by the way just good grooming!
It's okay whats wrong with men that want to take care of themselves. And don't say only guys that are GAY do it b/c my husband is sooo far from that.
    neat
i think it is really nice
    Let people be people.

    If they're gay...big friggin deal!!
doesn't bother me....you know, ';to each, his own';.
i think its fine good they care about themselves
I think every man should keep up with their apperance. I dont think it is cute for a man to have dirty nails and a cracky palm. but it all depends on the person, not all women feel that way.
I just gave my b/f a full foot treatment and pedicure and he loved it,I think it is nice for a man to keep care of his skin and nails!
I think they may be gay,or just very clean and neat.
its cool, but I would not date him (unless he were irresistible)
    they'll be gay
    that's nice
i don't mind it. men need clean/neat nails just as much a women do.
its cool...... guys with long fingernails are GROSS!
honey, get one.......this way when we go out, ur hands look and feel great......i dont think its gay !!

i cant suck ur fingers if u dont!!
ummm i dont think man are made to get manicures. Ithink women are more suited for that.

    why do you ask?
If they are goth that is hawt. If they are not well they are weird.
Fine. But buy you can't use my cherry red polish.

    LOL
No, not into it. I like a real man who gets his hands dirty. I don't get manicures myself, that's too prissy.
If they have a dirty job, then I think it is OK for special occasions. Some stains can only be removed by a manicurist, and everyone wants to look their best at certain functions. But, if they just want pretty hands all the time, that is a little wierd. I would probably wonder if they were gay.

Men, what do you think of broads who spend so much money in the salon on their hairstyles, manicures, press on

nails, pedicures, skin care, facials, massages etc. and also drug stores and department stores on skin care and cosmetics but are too cheap when it comes to groceries, household products and hygiene products?Men, what do you think of broads who spend so much money in the salon on their hairstyles, manicures, press on
I woul d rather spent my money on hygiene products and food than hair style, massages,etc.. I have a stocks of soaps, toothpaste, messingils, cold creams, perfumes, and food.Men, what do you think of broads who spend so much money in the salon on their hairstyles, manicures, press on
I think most of that stuff is a waste of money and am glad my wife agrees. Massages are not necessarily a waste of money if you can afford them. I can't, so I do yoga, pilate and tai' chi instead. But if my wife and I suddenly had an extra couple hundred bucks a week, it would probably go into massages, as we both work out quite hard.

However, I should note that the only reason I am even answering this question is because I am waiting for my wife to get ready to go out. It takes her roughly four times as long to get ready as it does me. I have been ready to go out since I came home from fight practice, showered, and put back on the same clothes I wore to my office today.

edit: I agree with Brian that somebody's mom going to the Beauty Parlor once a week isn't really the same thing as what you are talking about.
Women should be saving and investing all the money they can, every penny, as though hard times, really hard times, are coming. Press on nails seem soooooo stupid after you've been standing in a food line for two days or have to boil water outdoors because of power outages and don't have a generator or larder or even candles on hand. First things first. There's nothing wrong with the fluffy stuff, but too many women haven't done any of the important stuff yet, like have a nest egg.
My mom goes to the hair salon simply because she hates to wash her hair and they do it better than she can. She doesn't get manicures or all that other type of stuff. Massages? She'll bug me for those only when her back is killing her.

But you know, women like that are worthless. Reminds me of the small amount of little girls going to college, wasting dady's money, in order to find a husband.
Well if I had enough money I would spend it more on going to the hair salon and buying beauty products, make up and all that but when it comes to shopping for grocery items then I think ofcourse they should invest more money in that but some women prefer to look great than eat..I prefer to have my stomach full of food than having my hair done..
once in a great while i will treat myself to an all day salon just for the fact that it is something i am doing for myself,it is not very often that i can do this for myself because i am too elaborate spending on the neccesities of groceries and elaborating on my families needs first,i see nothing wrong pampering ones self.
i like that my girlfriend likes to look good, for herself and me. but there is too much of a good thing. she doesnt make it the number one priority like you're asking. for example, she was just in a wedding. she found a set of fake nails from walmart or meijer for about $5 when they bride got hers done for $70 and my girlfriend's actually looked better and more natural.
I'm a female, and I think that woman who spend that amount of money and time on looking good have way to much time and money on their hands.
Because they don't realize that beauty comes from within, if you eat fruit and veg then you will have good skin and look good. Prevention is better than the cure!
Most women that I find attrative don't need any of that.

I kinda like cute witches though.
    Useless, why bother?
Not for me, but if thats what they like more power to 'em.
    Their problem.
I'm a guy and I do all that

    Sue me
its what keeps them looking good

    Men with Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?

So, on a whim the other day, I went and got a manicure and pedicure. Without much thought they put shiny clear polish on my toenails and clear matte polish on my fingernails. So it made me think, what do others think of this?

What do you think of Men getting manicures?

    What about pedicures?

    What about polish?

If yes, polish on the hands, feet, or both?

    What kind of polish?

the clear matte, the clear shiny, or colored?

    please answer all these question!

    thanksMen with Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?
I think men getting manicures and pedicures is a hot idea. They actually care about their appearance. Not so big on the shiny nail polish, definitely not coloured. Matte might be OK but if the technician buffs them you shouldn't need polish. But tidying up your hands and feet - no problem with that at all! Go for it :)Men with Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?
What do you think of Men getting manicures? No problem, actually I wish my husband would get one.

What about pedicures? Necessary for some. Hubby is getting one right now!

    What about polish? No, thanks.

If yes, polish on the hands, feet, or both? If really needed, hands.

    What kind of polish?

the clear matte, the clear shiny, or colored? Clear matte.
it is okay if you are using a neutral color. nowadays, males can aso wear some manicure, pedicure and dark eye make-ups. at times, it is the trend due to some ROCK and PUNK GROUPS who makes it happen, some sort of FASHION

    MOOD
    i think its perfectly normal.

and its actually good,it makes your hands and feet more attractive too.

i think polish is fine, just not colored...either of the clear ones are alright.
how metrosexual of you.....................first thought, your either gay, metrosexual, or bisexual
just get it done and dont put any polish on them
    its gay thing
it'z wat yooh lyke not wat otherz think hope i helped :]
ick, be a man.....who cares if you don't have nice nails? ur a friggin guy.

I don't have a problem with guys wearing colored nail polish I'm just not a fan (unless they are like gothic or what-not).Men and Manicures and Pedicures?!?!?
I think it's nice to see a man who cares enough about his appearance to get a manicure or pedicure once in a while. Maybe just for special occasions. It would be weird if it was a weekly thing or any type of routine.

I think men should just get them cleaned, filed and shaped - no polish.
I've had a pediucre in Las Vegas and on a cruise ship to Alaska. Loved them both times. Treat your feet from time to time. I'm not a fan of male manicures though, seems a bit to metrosexual to me.
I have never waxed my brows, or any other hairs. I do not do pedicures or manciures but when I broke my foot the lady kindly filed my toenails and it felt good. lol, but I would never do it on my own.
I don't think that's good. I mean to each there own but men in my family don't groom themselves in that way. they all have working mans hands....rough and callused up.

Doing study on men who get manicures and pedicures, many men I have asked say yes A few say now way and some say Hey thats a nice idea. Im gonna do that. Whats the buzz folks.. R u a nail tech with men customers, Please enlighten me. thank youMen who get manicures and pedicures Gay or not, if not what do you think.?
I'm not a nail Tech, but I certainly don't see the harm in a man getting his nails done. I like guys who takes pride in the way they present themselves not just to me but to others. At least he won't embarrass their significant other in their appearance when they go out. It shows, they are not a slob. I mean no one wants to date a guy who is a slob, doesn't have a sense of style, with hands has rough as a tree bark and nail looking like something that just jump out of one of those horror movies.

I guy should be able to treat himself o a nice manicure, pedicure and facial without feeling or wondering if others are gonna think he is gay. Because he's not. I guy who puts himself together and smells great with the addition of a stunning smile and charm, will certainly get a second look from me.Men who get manicures and pedicures Gay or not, if not what do you think.?

I don't get what your saying but just because a man got a pedicure doesn't mean their gay. They usally do it to get eh gunk and stuff growing and their nails removed. Its not like they get them painted
    GAY!!!GAY!!!GAY!!!
I know several men who are definitely NOT gay, but they get manicures. They work in the food industry and getting the manicures helps their nails from getting brittle and break while cooking or presenting food, it also gives them a good appearance, since when a chef brings out food, we are seeing his hands that hold the plate we are about to devour. Many women also find that they are attracted to a man who pampers or takes care of himself in this way.
I think it shows that they care about there appearance. Its a sign that they take care of themselves and thats positive, no woman wants a man who is a slob! Even those who are wary can do it themselves, a buffer and some oil is all thats needed and it makes thier hands much nicer to hold! plus who wants to get it together with a guy with scabby toenails!

    Do men get manicures?

Sure do. many males with high stress jobs enjoy spa treatments such as manicures to allow them some relaxation time. I personally love a man with well taken care of nails.Do men get manicures?

My mom is a manicurist and she said that she gets quite a few men that come and get it done. I had a good friend that always had manicures and also waxed his eye brows, but he wasn't gay. A lot of business men get it done now.
Yes some do. I've seen one haveing a manicure in the mall.

    Can men get french manicures?

if they can,how do u tell the nail artist?wont they not allow it?cause its gay.i want to get a french manicure on my fingers and toes. Can men get french manicures?
If the nail people can get money, They for sure will do it.But it might cost a little more money. Can men get french manicures?
    Yes you can....

I have been getting Man/Pedi for some time now.Typically my fingers and toes are done with a clear coat only.

I must say though, that on occasion I have had a french style done on my toes, as well as having them painted dark blue or black.

    Go for it!
    You can.

No one can stop you, because it'd be against the rights listed in the constitution. It is a little strange though. Clear coats, and maybe a pedicure/massage would be alright though.

It's up to you though I guess.

Manicures and pedicures aren't only girl things I suppose.
Just walk in a nail salon and say you want to get your nails did and just ask them to give a french mani/pedi. As long as they get money, of course they'll do it. If you go to an Asian place, they may talk about you in their language but whatever, do what you like.
Yes. You can. The nail artist is paid in full to do her/his job, so she/he should be happy to do it. If they laugh, that is their problem. You can. I think it is okay, but get a natural tan color for your nails, or a clear coat.
Go for it!!! They'll do it! ..and if not, spend your $ somewhere else! But, I would think anyone (for the most part) would do it with no questions. I think it'll look great, and It'll make you feel nice and girlie and cute! Do it!
Yes you can just go and say, Hi I want a French manicure and pedicure.

I see guys at the saloon all the time to get their hands, feet and eyebrows and they are not necessary gay.....
    they have to do it.

    it doesnt matter if they think it ';gay';

if ur paying them, they have to do it.
They'll do anything to your nails that you want them to as long as you're a paying customer.
money is money so they wont give you a problem, but i wouldnt advise doing it.
yeah they'll do it, they may just look at you kinda funny thats all!:)
you could but it would look weird lol. why not just get clear or something
    wtf no
no if they get money for it they're fine. lol. but just get like a clear coat...

Should men have there nails manicured?

sure! don't expect a second date if the gals spot the dirt under the fingernails. or the ragged cuticles.

well, if you don't want to do for the gals, do it for yourself. it's part of grooming. when you look good, you'll feel good too! :) like how real men cry and only manly man can wear pink, it take a MAN to walk into a nail salon without fear of being labelled as a homosexual. :)

just my two-cents' worth!Should men have there nails manicured?

umm yea. it shows that your not afraid to to what you need to do whether that be fix your car or go see the local nail shop. it's just a sign of maturity and manatude.
No, but they should at least cut them, especially their toenails.
    NO.

    It is weird and gross

The Nail Salon will proabably think you are gay or retarted
Oh my god, YES! Most men that I know could use a manicure. I love hands, for some reason. I love soft hands, as long as they're 'manly' hands. My husband has wonderfully soft hands. I love it.

All men should have regular manicures, and while they're at it, a good moisturizer would go a long way, too! :)
If you have enough money, go on. If not, still men need to look after their nails. You wouldn't want to be touched by a gorgeous man with fungi-infected nails...or..would you? Perhaps I should create another question :-)
I dont see why not. its ok for a man to have good hygeine. me personally i get digusted by a man with nasty hands. I know most men have rough hands but there are some things they can do to take care of them
    only if there gay

    LMAO
YES! Clean, well-manicured hands look nice, and girls want to hold nice-looking hands! Just don't get nail polish. The rest of the manicure is what matters -- your hands will be softer, your cuticles will look great, and your nails will all match and be nicely groomed. Girls notice when you pay attention to little details. Plus, it's REALLY relaxing, and fairly cheap!
yah of course just don't get carried away once in a while is good and pedicures too because girls HATE horrible looking feet just like guys do too
    i think its wierd.
Yes, I think so because it shows that they're not afraid to show their feminine side and I think it's about damn time men start tryin to take care of themselves healthwise and how they look because I manicure my nails
no need - just clean 'em %26amp; clip 'em every now and then!

Is it okay for men to get manicures done?

yes i think it's OK only clear coat polish, there shouldn't be a problem for men to get their feet pedicure they feet hurt as well..Is it okay for men to get manicures done?
i dont like them..Is it okay for men to get manicures done?
my goodness. Men who want to take care of their hands for themselves or their women certainly shouldn't be labeled as gay. I used to give the guy I was dating manicures all the time. He was a little weird about it the first time because of this 'homophobic' thing guys have, but when I explained that those rough nails and hands scratched my skin, he would sit next to me once a week, grab the nail file and hold out one hand.

I consider it a 'real man' who is not ashamed to want to take care of something as important as his hands ... pedicures are good too.
Yes, my bf works in the trades and I can't stand his ruff

hands, so come Fri, I have him get a manicure. And he

rather likes it, because it gets all the dead stuff off, and he says he can touch my skin without feeling guilty, and if u are a lawyer u should have good looking hands.or

a business man differently, u want to look professional.

So I say go for it.
why not?? I mean. if u r 2 lazy 2 do it urself!!!
Why not? As a straight man, I work directly with the public. I do not want to have filthy fingernails or nasty hangnails. People judge me by what they see. I need to be an example to them. Have a manicure.
If they're homosexual it's fine yes
of course.....grubby nails are NOT a turn on. Do what you have to do.
I love for my man to have nice, soft hands..sooo OF COURSE!
It is common in other nations for men to have nail care done at the barber shop. It is increasingly common for men to have this care in the US.
YES, it is just like taking a bath, they also need to take care of themselves

...men, shave their legs too, get bikini waxes,...i saw an add for men makeup that i thought was just pushing it a bit
    yes
    err maybe

    but then again no
    Sure, why not .....
I don't mind to have it done.

Yes, I actually prefer the so called ';metrosexual';. I like a man that takes good care of himself and has a nice clean appearance. There is nothing appealing about being dirty or unkept. You can be a man, and have a manicure done, while keeping your hetero-sexuality in tact!
    sure it's ok.

I work with a former military man who gets pedicures sometimes. Not to look pretty or anything... He says it feels like you have new feet.

How many men there get manicures?

I have once. Hey my girlfriend at the time did things to me to make me say yes. Oh Yean lol.How many men there get manicures?
none dat i know lolHow many men there get manicures?
REAL MEN DONT....WE CLEAN AND TRIM OURSELVES.....REALLY NOW!!!! MANICURES FOR MEN.....
Amazingly there are many out there that do, and although I thought It'd only be men with ';questionable'; tastes, I've found out that also manly males get manicures, it just couldn't believe it, but apparently it's something very relaxing, also pedicures.

Regardless of what they say, I won't get one, it's just a choice.
  • hair brush
  • Women what do you think about men that get manicures and pedicures as well as having their eyebrows waxed?

well i think that as women does all this to keep their body in good health n in good shape so does man. They should be encouraged to do so coz their nothng wrong in it.Infact woman like man who are in good shape n keep their body very clean n beautiful.Women what do you think about men that get manicures and pedicures as well as having their eyebrows waxed?
I think it shows they care about their looks and is desirable!

Not many women want to be stuck with the scruffy man who doesn't care, and the ';metrosexual'; look is very appealing as it connotates images of the young professional on the go who cares about their appearance and the influence this has on people! :DWomen what do you think about men that get manicures and pedicures as well as having their eyebrows waxed?
Mani and pedi is ok as long as your not getting a polish as well (no, not even clear...just have them buff it to a shine). As for the eyebrows, as long as you aren't getting them arched, also ok. They shouldn't be thin, arched or feminine looking, but if say you have a uni and/ or very thick bushy, feel free to clean that up a little bit.
No, i don't mind...i mean some guys do need their eyebrows waxed...but i think if i makes them look better and feel better...let them do it.
Manicures and pedicures? It doesn't bother me, you should always keep your nails healthy. Waxing doesn't bother me either if it looks natural and you can't tell it's been done.
Manicures-not okay, i just dont see a point for a man to get a manicure...pedicures-maybe, just because i know how good a foot massage feels, so i dont think a guy should be counted out of that...eyebrows-yeah if you have a uni-brow or something and need to get rid of it.
let them do itt what the matter with that they want to keep their bod up just like women do that does not mean thy are gay or anything like that
    thats fine

they care about how they look

as long as its not too constant or obssessive
It shows that he takes care of himself and i find it quite attractive when a man is not afraid of his sexuality and to show who he is
Manicures and pedicures are cool. No one wants a man with nasty nails or feet... BUT!, as far as this waxing of the eye brows go.. A defintinate H**L to the NAW! Thats just too much for a guy. And if he does get it done then I would consider him a queer eye for the straight guy kinda guy. Not that I have anything against homo's, I just dont want to date one.
its nice , i think more guys should do it
I'm a guy and I get a pedicure every two weeks, WITH polish. And not some fake ';man'; color like blue or black, either (http://farm1.static.flickr.com/151/41103鈥?/a> I'm straight, but I have a feminine side.

I occasionally get a manicure, but it's easier to take care of your fingernails, as opposed to toenails, yourself. Plus, getting a mani isn't as much fun since I can't get polish.

I think eyebrow waxing is okay for some guys, but shaping your eyebrows is really overtly girly and should be avoided if you don't want to advertise to the world. On the other hand, some guys have nasty unibrow issues. This one friend of mine.. ish.. I just want to slap him. Or give him a weed wacker for Christmas. There's nothing girly about ';corrective waxing'; :)
mani and pedi is ok, as long as you don't get them painted, eyebrow waxing is a little too girly though. I think as a guy you should mainly just pluck in between your eyes so you don't have a unibrow but getting them waxed is going a little far. Women can tell when a guy gets his brows waxed. Some girls probably won't mind, but personally, I think it is just a little too fake. That's just me though! :-)
they should not do it bcos 1 it is done by men and it is against the will of GOD
I TOTALLY LOVE IT!!! I THINK IT IS SO HOT. I MORE RATHER HAVE A BOYFRIEND LIKE THAT, THAN HAVING A GUY W/ DIRTY FINGER NAILS ON THEIR HANDS %26amp; FEET. EYEBROWS WAXED FABULOUUUUUUUUUUUS!!!! U DON'T A UNIT EYEBROW OR %26amp; MAKE SURE THE PEOPLE WHO DOES BRAZILIAN WAXES %26amp; ECT, MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT PUT THEIR BROWS TOO THIN. LOOK AT JOEY LAWRENCE EYEBROWS. THE BEST PART IS THE FACIAL. HELLO! U DON'T TAKE UR MAN HOME %26amp; MEET UR PARENTS W/ ZITS %26amp; STUFF YUCK!!!!!
wow well manicures and pedicure are a bit too much but eyebrow waxing is ok if their 'brows are thick %26lt;3

Should men get manicures or pedicures?
Theres nothing wrong with a man keeping his hands and feet taken care of. There is a new term Metrosexual.....men are doing alot of the beauty things that woman do and its not considered gay as it was at one time. The only thing I wouldnt want is for a man to have clear nail polish put on either hands or feet nails.......
Pedicures for sure! They make your feet look and feel nice. Nothing worse then a nice looking guy with nasty feet and toenails.
    yes, it is perfectly normal.

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
umm sure why not? my guy friend gets them.. he's the opposite of gay too. one has to look nice, don't they? Plus it's refreshing and relaxing.
Manicures no. Pedicures yes. I don't want my man tearing up the sheets or scratching up my shins with hawk toes.
    doesn't matter

as long as it doesn't have color.. :P

But it is gross when guys don't take care of their nails and there is dirt and stuff .. eww
i see men get them all the time if u want to go ahead! just dont paint your nails now that will look a lil creepy:)
    hygiene is hygiene.

if your nails look bad and gross definitely do it.

    just don't get nail polish.

    It's that simple.
pedicures, but not in public, lol
    neither cause we are men

    but to answer your question

i'd say manicure cause it has the word man in it
    pedicures
I would prefer it, everyone needs clean and healthy nails...
    NOOOOOO!!!!!
    neither?

i mean its okay if they like file their nails so theyre not gross but thats aboout it
I think if they get both it shows that they take care of their self.
Yeah... cause nothing sounds more manly than going in for a mani pedi...
    that is seriously gay.....
It's up to the man. My husband (when I drag him along) comes with me to get a pedi.
    definitely.
    neither
    neither.
    Mani padi's

    just felt like sayinq that
    no! so wrong!
    NO!
    neither

    they should get implants. x3
only if they have froto feet
    yes
yeah both but just a clear coat
    both
    both

Do men really notice manicured hands?

I spend ages doing all this stuff do you think they really notice! lol not that i care id do it anyway! but just wondered! let me know guys/girlsDo men really notice manicured hands?
Men don't notice a lot of specific things women do, but they notice the general impression of cleanliness, good grooming and beauty, so don't abandon it. However, keep it simple and avoid loud colors or designs. I don't know any guy who likes extreme nail fashions -- gaudy, painted nails, two-inch long talons, etc.Do men really notice manicured hands?
Nope i read in some article that was written by a man and had other mens input (might have been on yahoo or something i don't remember). He said that guys don't care about women having manicured, painted or fake nails,as long as their neat they don't care (it's okay if you like doing your nails as a fun hobby like decorating them but if it's just to impress guys then don't bother)
I'm a straight guy, and anything i take care of on myself I will notice on someone else. Knowing women are probably the same way I started getting manicures and getting my eyebrows waxed. Women notice and compliment me all the time. So I do notice when a woman does that. Otherwise I don't think she takes care of herself.

And for dudes that need help here check out wellcultered.com
As long as your nails are funky or dirty, a lot of guys won't care. I mean, it's nicer if you have nicer nails, of course, but a lot of guys are simple and don't care for a lot of that stuff.
i find that they dont really notice if you make too much of an effort...but they most certainly do when you dont bother at all....

best advice given to me...be comfortable in your own skin...they do notice that a heck of a lot quicker!!!!
to be honest i couldn't care less. i dunno why girls put so much effort into these finer details when us guys don't even care or notice. we like down to earth friendly girls who can share a good conversation with and laugh.
    Nope! Waste of Money!

    That was simple! NEXT!
In my opinion no, but I would notice if a woman had dirty finger nails, as long as their hands are clean it does not matter if they are manicured
    well no

i wanna see who i am talking too and how they act

maybe if the nails are realy bad i mite see a quick vision of it .... but nope wouldn't care
    No.

If you'd been digging the garden with your hands, or you had bright pink or black nail varnish on, yes
    i do
only if your hands are on your boobs... :D
a guy that keep his self up do.
    i think they do

What are Manicures and Pedicures for men?

and should I get one? What are Manicures and Pedicures for men?
    Eww...

Unless you're gayWhat are Manicures and Pedicures for men?
my boyfriends gotten one. He loved it!

all they do is cut, file, massage, and clean your nails, hands, and feet. Its a really good touch up for your nails. And its really relaxing! Go for it buddy! there's no reason not to...
    assumptions of gaynesss

Do real men get manicures and pedicures?

Some do. It's not like they're getting false nails put on! They just want to keep themselves nice and care about what they look like. There's nothing feminine about caring what you look like and wanting to have something nice done for yourself.

What constitutes a ';real man'; anyways? I would say it's someone who's responsible, goal oriented and not intimidated by his sexuality to the point that he wouldn't get a manicure if he wanted one. Others may disagree and say that a real man is someone who doesn't do anything but watch football, drink beer and be a jackass all day but honestly they're loosers.Do real men get manicures and pedicures?
ABSOLUTELY!!! Just because your a man does not mean that you can't get mani/pedi's. Any man who cares about his hygiene would definitely benefit from this! Some male clients just like the fact that there nails are clean and free of hangnails. Men should take care of their feet. There are many salons that cater to men only thus taking out the fear of being ';stereotyped';. Men....Women love a man who takes care of himself!! Do real men get manicures and pedicures?
no....REAL men have jobs where we use our hands and we actually WORK for a living and don't have time for all that girlie bullsh*it.....even those of us who are senior managers and can afford it wouldn't be caught dead in a salon getting our nails and feet done.....
Sure...why not look your best and take care of yourself? I had them done before but I can also do it myself. Women do the same things we do when we look at them.. they check us out, they don't want to see dirt under fingernails or unpolished shoes or even when you go to the beach, just make sure your feet look well taken care of! It's not that difficult to do!
Real Men, work outside, and don't care about what they look like, and enjoy getting sweaty.

Men, that get manicures and pedicures are called metrosexuals.

    And AREN'T real men..

    :)
yeah, they actually do,but not colored polish. They just clean up their nails and file them and clip them so they are nice and groomed, then i think they put a clear polish on them, but im not sure about that. FYI im not a guy.
    Absolutely.
some do, but they don't put like polish on, they just get pampered
metrosexuals do and they're sexy as hell!!
    Nope. Just fake men.
    Just Clay Aiken.
Not in this neck of the woods
    no.
    yes

MEN: Manicures/Pedicures - EVER GOTTEN ONE?

Have you? Did you like it/them? What is your story?MEN: Manicures/Pedicures - EVER GOTTEN ONE?
No. When I was like 5 my grandmother used to paint my sisters nails, and then paint clear nail polish on mines lol. Don't do that anymore.

    Regards: j~swiftMEN: Manicures/Pedicures - EVER GOTTEN ONE?
    Yes

My mother did that to me once for fun (not kidding) just because she had a kit and wanted to try it out.

It was a pedicure, I'd be shy having a manicure and nice-looking nails... that'd just be TOO feminine.
Never have dude but it is okay if you want to do it. I wear flip-flops all the time, so I do my own feet and toes to keep them looking nice.
    never.

    http://theclickinfo.com/cse:Manicures.tu鈥?/a>
dont get a mani but men do get pedis so dont be scared
i got a pedi w/ my aunt when i was14-15. i wouldnt say i liked it but i did like how my feet felt afterwards.

  • Manicures for men, is that common?

I thought maybe movie stars, or the swishy types would do this, but it seems to be more common. I live in a rural area, no one out here has heard of such a thing.Manicures for men, is that common?
sigh. i hate tht trend. tht just irks the crap outta me tht guys would care so much about their nails...i dunno.Manicures for men, is that common?
It is common amongst the homosexual community.
I'm in college and also learning how to do manicures. I have asked guys to let me practice on them and they have let me. But, I think the only reason they let me is because they think I'm pretty and like the idea of a pretty girl holding their hand for 30 minutes. I even noticed one getting a rise in his Levi's. heeheehee
Only gay males get manicures, AND I HATE GAYS!

Are free manicures and pedicures a NECESSITY for good looking men and women in Business and Law?

    why or why not?

    please explain.

is this part of their ';job'; maybe?

    why or why not?

how could they spend that money better??..:)

why so?Are free manicures and pedicures a NECESSITY for good looking men and women in Business and Law?
You can invest your money in something.

@Are free manicures and pedicures a NECESSITY for good looking men and women in Business and Law?
I think that they should keep their personal appearance up to par as they are working in the public and in a court of law

    but mandatory NO
what is the deal with the ';free manicure and pedicure'; questions for the people in law today what gives them the right
Who the bloody hell are you??????
Why exactly do you think they should be free? If I had to touch someone's nasty feet, I would damn sure want money!
    idk
is this an essay question you had for homework?

lol i don't think I want you as my lawyer now..

Are women turned off by men who manicures and pedicures on a regular basis?

if the guy talks about it probably yes but if he simply appears well groomed im sure thats a plus

as long as hes not using polish on the nails!!!Are women turned off by men who manicures and pedicures on a regular basis?
umm sort of, its kind of weird. unless you dont get the clear polish or anything then its alright. Are women turned off by men who manicures and pedicures on a regular basis?
Mostly, a girl dosnt really want a guy thats prettier than her
i am. not manly at all.

Women get manicures often right.....So....whats the Disease? ....(man-i-cure)?

You're thinking too much.Women get manicures often right.....So....whats the Disease? ....(man-i-cure)?
well you dont want nasty finger disease...hello!

Why are men reluctant to get pedicures, manicures, and massages?

They say 25% of spa customers are men, but I think that number is, if true, biased, toward a certain social group and not an across the board number..

Is the hesitancy for men to go to spa's the same in European countries, as well? Why are men reluctant to get pedicures, manicures, and massages?
For a lot of guys it isn't ';macho'; to be be pampered - it's kind of a ';sissy'; thing for them. Typically these are the guys who are insecure about their manhood. There is nothing wrong with guys getting pedicures, manicures, massages or even having their permed or curled. Some guys even wear makeup but I think that is getting to be a little extreme and may be a sign of a gender bend issue.

Sorri I can't comment on the European countries. Why are men reluctant to get pedicures, manicures, and massages?
I don't know about Europe-that area has a different mix of cultures than we in America. The same, but different. American men don't always want to do what you are asking about, 'cause it's not ';macho'; enough for them. They can even think it's too ';sissy';. Men, at least here in the States, tend more to want to do sauna's, things like that. In Europe, in some countries, the men and women greet each other with kisses on the cheeks. Here, we are not used to that. I hope this helps answer your question. Take care.
Its because us guys know that they would get in the way when we would masturbate. %26lt;.%26lt; And get the sticky stuff stuck on them.
    naturally.

I ahve found in recent queries of the men i know, some have gone off their own bat to get waxed, or manicures etc. Its because they are in a business of looking and presenting themselves.

The others i have tried to go to get waxed, or anything else remotly feminine are completly against it as they feel it strips away their masculinity.

Basically, if a man is comfortable with himself, he can go in and not feel like he is shedding his man hood.
    i get it weekly

Manicures: do men really care about women's nails?

or is it just a personal preferance for a woman?Manicures: do men really care about women's nails?
No. Women make womens lives difficult.

I couldnt care less before. But since women mentioned it... Id prefer to see a French tip thanks!Manicures: do men really care about women's nails?
    NO!
I'm going to guess that some men do, and others don't. I'm not fence sitting, but I see that none of the guys who've answered seem to care about nails, but I have met some men who do care...not a whole bunch, but they certainly notice or take note of well manicured hands. They don't like acrylic or overly long nails, but seem to appreciate a woman who has nicely shaped and unpolished nails.
I don't care about nails. If anything, I like it better when women don't do anything to their nails. I like the natural look. Makeup, jewelery, nail polish, and so forth just aren't my cup of tea.
Not even for a second. Matter of fact I cant even remember the last time I noticed the color of a womans nails.
It is not the first thing we look at but they are part of your overall appearance. Sooner or later, men look at every aspect of a woman, not just breasts and butt.
    Noooooooo
no i think the nail thing is about competition with other women. its like penis envy, men are the ones that are jealous about what size somebody else is.
not really do I care - and suspect we care.

reasonably tidy sure - like clipped (or whatever)

you gals tend to take things to extremes.

And to be honest you gals appear to be checking each other out more than checking out how much us guys are checking you out.

just what i've observed. Just my view.
I;m not a man...but I know that nice nails are one of the things men notice. Men hate bitten or badly cared for nails....they also like clean, soft hair....not hair which is cobvered in product.
    No, No, No.
No, men don't care about women's nails, for the same reason they don't care about the type of shoes, handbag or clothes you have on.

Only other women care about those things.
have you ever had a man with ugly toes? same thing ugly toes are terrible at least a pedicure gets out the rough spots and makes your feet look better i think pretty feet are important and besides the pedicure makes you feel good and gilry
no unless their really dirty. but other wise no.
Maybe a pair of hands and/or feet with bloodred nails can be enticing, but I think it's pretty low on men's lists when considering how attractive a woman is. I only paint my nails when I feel like it.

  • What is your opinion on men who get manicures and moisturises?

...and seems to be more in touch with their ';feminine'; side than you are... I'm talking hetrosexual men. Gay guys I will forgive anything! :o)What is your opinion on men who get manicures and moisturises?
I like a MANLY MAN!!!!What is your opinion on men who get manicures and moisturises?
they want to be pampered and wants to feel good, just like women and nothing is wrong with that
I think men should get manicures regularly. I don't like cruddy looking fingernails and cuticles. They just need to have their nails trimmed and cleaned, especially if the hands are going to be on me at some point!
I think they want to take care of their bodies unless they obsess about it, I guess its ok
Who wants a man with cruddy nails and ashy skin? Take care of that mess.
I think it's ok as long as they don't obsess over their looks.
I think a man like that is comfortable enough with his sexuality to show a bit of his feminine side. Nothing wrong with that.
    Soft
My Dad used to get manicures..which I thought was sorta feminine...but then again I hate ugly dirty unkept nails on men ----and I also hate it when they have rough dry hands or feet.
i think its cool, no problem with that. i like for a guy to have clean nails and soft hands and lotion their bodies up they wont be all ashy and shi* i dont want no rough *** hands toughing me.
metrosexuals..i know guys like that..they are pretty guys like brad pitt looking men...i find it disturbing and not a turn on at all..i like manly men ..very masculine is a must for me :))
Never met a man who did that and wasn't gay.?.?
Its ok. . .just as long as they are not obsessed with and have to go every week. An occasional manicure is ok. . .moisturizing. . .I don't know about that one. . .
Good for them. They take pride in their appearance. Manicures are going a tad too far I think though. Only if their nails are really bad, chipped, dirty, broken, etc. then perhaps a manicure would be good. I prefer big, masculine hands (but not dirty ones), not nicely refined male hands.
i like guys who take care of themselves,

but if he takes more care than i do...err, no.
I think guys should get over it and take care of themselves. It does not make them gay to get a manicure or moisturize their dry skin. I don't see how dried up flaky skin, with rough calloused hands and ragged nails makes you a manly man.
where the hell are those guys? i want one for myself, cause @ least he's gonna look hott, and he won't get mad @ me for my expenses tickets.
i think metro's are kinda wack , me i wouldn't do it in a million years but as diffrent strokes taught us the world don't move to the beat of just one drum

You are so sweet. This is something she will surely appreciate. Since she's an instructor why not call her coworkers and ask them? They might have overheard her speak of one she particularly likes. Good luck finding the right one.
I like sexy pedicure for a woman..

Whats the age group of men that you see get pedicures or manicures?

    My guess would be 25-35

*they're pushing it, but it just shows that they care about themselves and the way they look, which is completely normal. Each person finds different things attractive. I wouldn't necessarily call it funny.Whats the age group of men that you see get pedicures or manicures?

I always see men in the nail salon now and then getting a manicure..How many of you men actually go for both manicure and pedicures??? What do you love best about it?? Are you tickelish when the ladies touch your feet???Men Do You Ever Go For A Manicure %26amp; Pedicure???
I want to try a pedicure. sounds like fun. :)Men Do You Ever Go For A Manicure %26amp; Pedicure???
Never done it, it sounds to expensive... just a simple nail cutting at home is fine with me...
No way. Didn't go to a hair dresser in the last 25 years. My wife do my hair. Nails ? You just break them or bite them off if they break. Once in a while you cut them.
Never but if anyone does who cares
I've never had either, but I always end up giving them to my GF,

    She makes me do it, I don't enjoy it really. . . . .
    no

If your man paid for it would you get Manicures, Pedicures and your hair done regularly? How much does it cost

the cost depends on where u go and what u get. but i think that i speak for all women when i say yes because thats what women love and we love it even more if our men pay for it but don't get me wrong cause i dont want to make us sound like gold diggers or anything but i mean we're not go turn it down if u offer and men like their woman to look good, and feel good so go out and atleast tret your girl even if it's only $25 to get her nails done. and we also like to look good for our men atleast i do. i dont want to go anywhere with my boo and he be looking nice and i look like who did it and why. ya know? so yeah. some women will be just fine if her man gives her half of the money. If your man paid for it would you get Manicures, Pedicures and your hair done regularly? How much does it cost
no, there are to many un sanitary places that do manys and petys, and i know best how i want them done. and the cost is to much for something i can do myself, and enjoy, the complements are astonishing when u can tell people that u do it ur self.If your man paid for it would you get Manicures, Pedicures and your hair done regularly? How much does it cost
    yes

    probably about $200

    manicures: $25

    pedicures: $40-$80 (I think)

    hairstyle: $80-$100

get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

    get down girl go head
sure would, i like to look good for my man. costs generally $150-250
Yes i would let him assume the cost because its expensive to be a Lady. Some women do those things because their man likes it. Although i would pay for it myself from time to time - just to let him know that i not a total gold digger. For my hair alone it costs around $1800 a year and that's without a weave. Mani-pedi can cost around 40 - 70 dollars every 2 weeks so that's another $1800. So if she's worth the $3600 go for it.
I don't think I would feel right about him paying for it but the price depends on where you go. Best case senario $150-$200
Heck yes, I would! The cost varies probably anywhere from $20 to $2,000
Yes! It depends on your location, but I pay about $20 for a manicure, $40 for a pedicure and anywhere from $35-100 for hair. Also throw a massage in there, and she'll love you for it! :)

French manicure / nail extensions for men?

Yay or Nay. If nay, why not? Should social convention dictate what we wear/how we present ourselves, or should we continually strive to challenge/change conventions?French manicure / nail extensions for men?
It'll probably never catch on as a mainstream thing but that shouldn't matter. I wear fake nails myself sometimes and have them painted black or dark shades of blue or purple and I'm a straight guy. I wore them out of curiosity at first. It's not for attention but I like the way it looks. I obviously I will get a lot of looks especailly with something as bold as fake black nails. Yesterday I was having lunch at a cafe and some girls across from me were staring at my nails...a lot.French manicure / nail extensions for men?
    ew noo way

im not homophobic or against men wearing abit of concealer/eyeliner, my brothers a gay hair stylist lol!

    but

long nails or fake nails on men would look wrong on SO many levels.

    go for it if you dont mind people talking about you behind your back/in the street ';omg wtf did that man have false nails on?!';

    it'd just look so weird.
If a guy wants his nails to look pretty..Why not? Psh. There isn't anything wrong with a guy goin' in and getting a manicure and whatnot.

I know guy(Course, He was gay, and wore make up, and carried a purse.) who wore acrylics. He was pretty cool person, which actually the nails didn't look 'wrong on so many levels'.
I didn't feel the NEED to ask people.. I was bored :) and have never done it before.. so i thought it would be interesting and it's suuuper funny that I'm super skinny and people think I look big lol. but thanks for your opinion cause it was really nice, I mean it :)
I think that's kinda pushing it.

I would think that was weird if I saw it, though I wouldn't comment.

I wouldn't challenge conventions that way.

  • MEN: Have you ever gotten a Manicure or Pedicure?

Do you get them on a regular basis?MEN: Have you ever gotten a Manicure or Pedicure?
I'm not one of the guys but ... FOR MEN THAT GET MANICURES AND PEDICURES they are very sexy on them, I love to see a mans hands with a freshly manicure.

My husband work with his hands so, once a month I'll talk him into going to get a mannie and I'll clean his nails like everyday, LOL.

(heck a man with clean nails is hott)MEN: Have you ever gotten a Manicure or Pedicure?
yes i do...i work with my hands so i try and keep them really neat...i go at least 3 times a month..plus the ladies love it!!!
i have gotten a manicure on a regular basis and a pedicure some times,
    Never have.
    No or no, no.
No, I have not and will not.
Had one done once. I used to be a mechanic and always came home with dirty, messed up hands and nails. A friend of mine got tired of going out with me looking like that and she brought me in for a manicure. I don't like being touched by people I don't know so it wasn't very enjoyable and haven't got one since but luckily, I'm not a mechanic any more so I don't have to.
NO only gay guys do that stuff
    Yes and no
No, but I got a Brazilian Wax!
Shoot no! I'm A MAN, not some queer-bate ';Metro-sexual';! I can cut and maintain my own nails, thank you! I'll leave that type of stuff to the ladies!

On the other hand, I COULD use a good ';all over body massage'; with my ';special Lady'; IN PRIVATE! That is,. if I could ever FIND HER!!!

Is there something ';wrong'; with a man having had more manicures than a woman?

Not ';wrong';...just sad.Is there something ';wrong'; with a man having had more manicures than a woman?
I think so.Is there something ';wrong'; with a man having had more manicures than a woman?
    No, just a little wacky...
    not if hes gay.
    yes... to me there is
    yes
yes, this is definitely cause 4 concern. tell him to knock that sh** off, or you'll knock his pansy-a$s out.
Seems a big disturbing to me. Is he gay or metrosexual?

Is it gay for men to get manicures and pedicures?

And is it gay to wear clear nail polish after the manicure? Is it gay for men to get manicures and pedicures?
Yes it is.Is it gay for men to get manicures and pedicures?
I was a nail technician for 20 years. Some of my best cusomers were men, from every walk of life. I had business men, military men, farmers, and just about any other profession you could think of. They all said that they did not feel well groomed unless they had a manicure and pedicure. They liked my service, because I also gave a hand and arm and foot and leg massage with the service. It is very relaxing if done correctly. I studied reflexology in order to know stress points and places to massage to make other parts of the body feel better. There was nothing sexual in anything that I did either!!
I myself, as a transvestite, do my own nails, and pedicure, and the finger nails are far too long for a male - at least so I'm told, but the toe nails are always painted, and these along with my 6 toe rings and anklet, are quite ';femme'; I gues you could say.

Oh and by the way, I'm also married (to a g/g fyi), if any adverse thoughts were contemplated.

And not to have an attitude, but I really don't shiv a git at who ';judges';..

    Rachelle In High Heels
Nope, not gay. Men, especially in sales or entertainment careers, do it all the time! Stellar hygiene and personal care does not equal gay.
No, it 's called good grooming. Also known as personal hygiene.

As far as the polish, I've found that buffing provides a more durable finish.
    i think a manicure is kewl.. but to me - no offense '; a pedicure is a bit gay...';

and I dont think the clear polish is too bad...
    no.

it's not gay to do something out of the norm, a person can be gay, and action can't.
No, but the nail polish thing got to go!
yes. you might as well ask the manicurist to shove something up your butt while she does your nails.

can i have some food now?
no, but the clear nail polish may be pushing it
